Yes! We provide customs clearance services (sometimes termed as customs brokerage in some countries like Thailand), in addition to our regular freight forwarding offerings. Customs clearance requirements vary widely amongst different countries, therefore it is important to engage a competent customs broker to handle this aspect. Further to that, specialised services such as temporary import/export, duty & tax exemption using preferential certificates of origin (e.g. FORM D & FORM E used in trading) are available too.
Yes! We are especially strong in the Asia-Pacific region, both Southeast Asia & North Asia (Japan, Korea, Taiwan & China). Yes! The cost aspects of customs clearance (or customs brokerage) can be especially tricky at times, reason being no two shipments are considered to be identical from a Customs viewpoint. That being said, please always check with us regarding (potential) additional costs that could be incurred in your shipment. We shall do our level best to explain and provide you with a better understanding & breakdown of our quoted rates, plus the relevant terms & conditions that you should take note of.
Yes and no!
Yes : Proper packaging is essential to comply with the various regulations that govern the transportation of goods. Regulations vary from country to country and may cover aspects such as labeling, weight, and size. Non-compliance can lead to fines, delays, or even the confiscation of goods.
No : We provide packing and/or palletization services for customers who require such value-added services. Carton packaging, shrink-wrapping, plywood crating & heat-treatment/ISPM15 fumigation of packed cargo are all possible.
